Forming the centre piece of our Garden Birds collection, Poppy's embroidered pigeon is full or character and as bold as the the bird he represents.
Using a restricted pallet of blue, black, red and yellow she has captured this quirky bird who is maybe on his way to demonstrate in Trafalgar Square or perhaps spend a little time stateside in Central Park.
This piece is stitched by Poppy on her vintage Singer sewing machine. The slightly unpredictable nature of drawing in stitch means that the lines have a naive quality to them.
This piece is a one-off original.
