This is one from the deep archive. Created as a card design over 15 years ago, this jolly teapot is stitched on a delightfully soft yellow brushed heavy cotton. The appliqué pot is cut from a piece of pink polkadot needlecord - a rare find!
Poppy's pieces evolve as she stitches, using her vintage Singer sewing machine to bring a sketch to life. The slightly unpredictable nature of drawing in stitch means that the lines have a naive quality to them.
This piece is a one-off original.
